Line of inquiry 1 question 2: What are the purposes of community service?
Political parties and candidates are key participant in the election cycle. Candidates standing for office are affiliated with political parties which both define a candidate’s ideology and policy position while reflecting a list of issues with which the electorate can identify based upon a political party platform as mirrored in the candidate’s election promises to the public.
Candidates as individuals represent a party platform and with the help and support of their affiliated party apparatus, they compete for public office, carry out election campaigns, and try to convince voting citizens to cast their ballot for them. Ultimately, the ability to openly campaign, receive credible public support through the voting process, assume public office, or form a credible opposition once in government depends on the legal, political, and cultural environment in the country.

Though, in many ways, non-profit organizations are similar to for-profits, a non-profit's goals are different. The purpose of a non-profit organization, is it does not operate in an effort to build wealth or earnings/income for the benefit of the owner, directors or shareholders.

Community service is an activity performed by a person or a group of people that benefits others. It is often done near the area where you live, so your own community receives the benefits of your work and contribution. Depending on the scope of community service, you may get financial reward for performing community service. Line of inquiry 2 question 1: What are different types of rights?
Civil and political rights are a class of rights that protect an individual's freedom from violation by governments, social organizations, and private individuals. They ensure one's ability to participate in the civil and political life of the society and state without discrimination or repression.
There are many different types of equal rights. They all play a big role to the society. Without equal rights, the world will not be a peaceful place to live in.
The different types of equal rights and what they do. There are 5 important types of equality found in our society; civil equality, political equality, social equality, natural equality, and economic equality. There is more equal rights that come in to each of them. Lets start with civil equality.
Civil equality implies that all citizens should be treated alike in the matters of ownership of their rights without any discrimination on the grounds of religion, belief, skin color, class or faith [their background]. There can be no civil equality when law becomes distinction between an individual and the other. People have the right to enjoy their various rights and freedoms. No one has the right to stop others from having it.
Political equality includes the right to vote, participate and join elections. Another example of an equal right is political equality. Political equality implies that all citizens should have political rights and should have full and equal access to all offices of authority. It also implies right to form political parties and participate in elections. These rights are necessary in a democratic society.
Social equality is also one of the most important rights. All citizens must be equally eligible to enjoy various opportunities. Such as, joining community services, owning property and work. Social equality is a difficult idea to achieve. It cannot be fully enforced by law.
Economic equality, is “the attempt to remove all differences in wealth, sharing allowance to every man and woman an equal share in worldly goods.” It means that wealth should be enjoyed equally by all people. Economic equality is about a level playing field where everyone has the same access to the same wealth.
Natural equality is another type of equality. It implies that all men are born free and equal and are endowed with equal gifts and talents. It also means that the State should try to reduce inequality, rather than perpetuate it.

Line of inquiry 2 QUESTION 2: HOW DO you ENFORCE RIGHTS?
Equality is a goal for many society and I believe it can be achieved. It is a matter of the people wanting to take steps to make it possible or if they are fine with how things work. It is going to take time and effort to reach this goal, but it can definitely be achived. In a democracy, everyone has the right to equal treatment. Yet many countries accept discrimination against LGBT people, women, ethnic and religious minorities and people with disabilities, and even have laws that explicitly allow it.
Civil rights protected by the United States’s Constitution include freedom of speech, right to live and freedom of particular types of discrimination as well as the laws and human right organization
The equal rights amendment was the next step after the 19th Amendment. The 19th Amendment was ratified on August 18 1920. The 19th Amendment was an amendment that granted women the right to vote. The equal rights amendment said that all people should be treated equally regardless of race, religion and skin colour. The Amendment also said that congress had the power to enforce it.
Not all types of discrimination are unlawful, and most of an individual's personal choices are protected by the freedom to choose personal relations; to express himself or herself; and to conserve in personal privacy. The various civil rights laws have made it illegal to discriminate on the basis of race, color, religion, gender, age, restrictions, or national origin. Discrimination that restricts voting rights and equality of the opportunity to education, employment, and housing is unlawful.
Congress had originally set a ratification deadline of March 22, 1979. Through 1977, the amendment received 35 of the necessary 38 state ratifications. With wide, bipartisan support (including that of both major political parties, both houses of Congress, and Presidents Ford and Carter)[2]. In the years since the ERA failed to ratify, a number of organizations, including the Feminist Majority Foundation and the American Association of University Women, have continued to work for its adoption; the Women's March on Washington on January 21, 2017, brought renewed interest in and attention to the ERA,

Line of inquiry 2 QUESTION 3: HOW DO COMMUNITY SERVICES PROMOTE RIGHTS?
Community services promote equal rights in many ways. There are many different types of rights, such as: natural equality, political equality, social equality and economic equality. All of them keep the world peaceful. We should conserve these rights as it helps the society to be better.
Equality is about promoting and encouraging everyone to have rights, being free from discrimination, appreciated as an individual, and having the choice to their beliefs.
Equal opportunities for promotion should always be made available to all employees, and no employee should be restricted from promotional opportunities because of their color of skin, religion, gender or any other discriminatory reason.
It should be part of the company’s equal opportunities policy/rule to ensure/empower/help the conversations are regularly held with all employees, so both employees or employers can talk about how they see their careerand business are developing, and employees can request training and support should they wish to progress into a more senior roles in the company. These discussions/conversations can be done in a one-on-one basis or in front of a panel if the employee so wishes, such as at appraisals and personal reviews.
In many cases, with the Human Rights Act 2004 will not require perfect changes to the practice. It is, however, important that there is the prove that human rights have been taken into if the public authority is challenged on a different decision. It is important that employees make themselves aware of the rights set out in the Act, that they compile with these rights in their work, and they document how they have considered rights in their decision making.

Line of inquiry 3 QUESTION 1: How can community services support governmental elections?
Community services offers the society something that people could be volunteering in. There are many types of community services and some of them are political parties, organizations, volunteering, police, hospital, school . How do community services support governmental elections?
It starts with being an ordinary citizen and they would be a well known figure to the society. They can be active with doing community services by volunteering in the society or they could doing something that benefit to the community. Here are some examples of how to be known, by participating in organizing a community blood drive, send cards to soldiers serving in overseas, having a bake sale for your favorite charity, or read books or letters to a person who is visually impaired. You would be doing something good to the society.
A country can only be a democratic country when its elections constitute a competition amongst numerous political parties and/or have independent candidates. Voters need to have a free and informed choices among various policy options and candidates to determine who their post election representatives will be. Only very few countries are small enough to practice direct democracy in any or all public policy decision making processes, and it is for crucial for most democracies to find ways to organize an effective and democratic system of representation.
The Americans go to the polling places to vote for the person they want to be as the “the popular vote” does not make either of the candidates or nominees win, it depends on the electoral college. To become the next American president the candidate or nominee has to win the majority of electoral votes not popular votes. If there is case where neither of the candidates or nominees receives or gets a majority of the electoral votes, the House of representatives will choose who will be the next American president while the Senate has to pick the next American vice president.
Political equality suggests that citizens should have political right and should have an equivalent access to all office of authority. It also suggest rights to create political parties and join election these rights must be included in a democratic party.

line of inquiry 3 question 2:What are the disadvantages of an individual to participate in government, associations, elections and assemblies?
Participation in electoral processes involves much more than just voting. Political participation goes from the freedom to speak out, assemble and associate the ability to take part in the conduct of public affairs and the opportunity to register as a candidate, to campaign, to be elected and to hold office at all levels of government. Under international standards, men and women have an equal right to participate fully in all of the political process.
Some of the disadvantages of being a part of the government are chances to abuse the power given by the people. Politicians will have access to budgets/deals for government projects. By having this privilege, there is a possibility that some corrupt officials will be tempted to use the money for their personal interests. So, politicians who have supporters and friends who make contributions for election campaigns might feel indebted to these people and might give these cronies favors in the future.
Corruption is a decay in decision making where the maker deviates from the decision making for a reward and or a expectation of a reward .But the decision making cant be part of the decision.
The Indonesian business environment is restricted because of a corrupt judiciary, complicating and confusing process to dispute settlements and weakening property rights. Bribery in Indonesia is a concern for foreign investors. Corruption is a problem for companies. Officials exploit and take advantages of the unclear and uncertainy of some Indonesian laws to get illegal or illegitimate payments and bribe companies for filling fake tax reports and obtaining unwarranted permits or licenses.
Participating in election involves more than just voting. Political participation attains from the freedom to speak out, assemble and associate. Everyone has political rights. They are allowed to register as a candidate, campaign, to be elected and hold office at all levels of government. Under international standards, men and women have an equal right to participate fully in all aspects of the political process. In practice, however, it is often harder for women to exercise this right. In post-conflict countries there are frequently extra barriers to women’s participation, and special care is required to ensure their rights are respected in this regard. Political participation extends beyond parties, however. Women can also become involved in certain aspects of the electoral process through independent action particularly at the local level and by joining civil society organizations.
